Role: Sole designer with support from a content manager
SAFARI unites a global group of industry leaders committed to decarbonising the aviation sector.
Their clients include Air Canada, AirFrance KLM, Delta, Lufthansa, jetBlue, Southwest, Virgin Atlantic and more. The client needed a website they can use to submit concept papers and summary slides. Notifications will be sent via the system, each person will be able to create a profile with a submission portal. A teaming list will be generated to facilitate exploration of capabilities and skillsets. I was tasked with leading the design process for the new website.
Process
User flow
At each step, I designed the flow to minimize user effort and maximize clarity and engagement, ensuring that users can easily navigate through the process without feeling overwhelmed. Given the global and often on-the-go nature of the users, the entire flow is optimized for mobile devices, ensuring a seamless experience across different screen sizes.
Special attention is given to the security and privacy of user data, especially during registration, profile creation, and submission processes.
Wireframes
I was tasked with designing an interface that enables users to effortlessly create profiles, navigate through submission portals, and engage with the teaming list. An essential feature of my design is the integration of this list, which empowers users to discover and connect with others based on shared capabilities and skillsets.
The goal was to ensure that the website is not only a tool for submission but also a catalyst for collaboration and innovation in the aviation sector.
Design system
I created a cohesive design system for SAFARI’s internal design team. It will help to maintain the consistency, streamline development and help collaboration across teams, ultimately providing a consistent and accessible user experience. I was also in charge of redesigning SAFARI’s old logo and rebranding with fresher friendly identity.
Final design
I designed an attractive and intuitive interface elements that encourage the user to explore the profile dashboard, making it easy to submit a proposal. Clearly presenting the teaming list and having a smooth submission process was especially essential here to create a positive user experience.
